1. Description of system

Solar-wind-diesel generator hybrid power system consists of solar panels, wind turbine, low-voltage diesel generator, MPPT solar&diesel generator controller, wind controller and battery.

The system is designed as per the following index. The battery can power the loads for consecutive 60 hours and can be fully charged within 3 consecutive sunny days in winter season. The diesel generator will start automatically to power the loads and charge the battery when the battery voltage goes down to the set value. The estimated starting times for diesel generator in the whole year is not more than 5 times and the working time for each time is not more than 3 hours in order to ensure the lifespan of diesel generator and reduce the fuel consumption.

Solar-wind-diesel generator hybrid system can resist the rainy days to power the loads consistently all the day and has a high working stability. The cost of solar-wind-diesel generator system is 20% more than independent solar power system and fuel tank and diesel generator room is required for the system.
